ARTIFACT: Extremely rare circa 1890's United States Light House Service (USLHS) bullion hat badge from the Great Lakes Area. The Lighthouse Service merged with the United States Coast Guard in 1939. The center of the hat badge shows a beautifully embroidered light house surrounded by a gold bullion wreath on black wool felt.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's

SIZE: Approximately: 3-3/8" x 2-7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bullion embroidered wool felt, partial elastic cotton elastic

ATTACHMENT: Double post with clutchbacks.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): The badge shows minor wear, much of the bullion details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
