Description
Extremely rare WWII Imperial Japanese Civil Defense First Aid Staff house placard for a member of the Nigawa Branch in the Hyogo Prefecture. The placard shows a wood burned emblem with painted kanji below. The reverse shows an old label affixed with tape that reads: "WHEN THE JAPS THOUGHT IT PROBABLE THAT WE WOULD BOMB JINSEN THEY ESTABLISHED EMERGENCY FIGHTING STATIONS THAT CONSISTED OF SAND, WATER, AND A FEW TOOLS. THIS WAS A SIGN INDICATING SUCH A STATION". Nigawa is incorrectly phonetically translated as Jinsen. This example was named to the original owner: "MR. KAWAHARA RYOHEI".

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The placard shows minor to moderate wear, light fading to some of the kanji, overall very fine condition.
