This is an Extremely Rare circa 1900 United States Life Saving Service USLSS District 5 Surfman Uniform Patches District 5 covers Cape Henlopen down to Cape Charles.

Circa 1900.

Approximately No 5 patch: 2-3/4" in height x 2-1/8" in width. Life Saving Service patch: 2-3/4" in height x 2-3/4" in width.

Embroidered on wool felt with gauze backing with Cotton & Silk thread.
