Description
This is an exquisite handmade WWII shoulder patch made the China Air Task Force, the precursor to the 14th United States Air Force. This patch was worn on the left shoulder in the early days of this branch, and then transferred to the right shoulder as the branch grew in size. Patch is in very deep blue and pictures a winged tiger and a single star.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:2-5/8" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Velvet patch with hand-embroidery in silk and bullion with silk backing.
