ARTIFACT:

This is an early World War II Royal Air Force pilot wing, unpadded for battle dress. The wing is unusual in that it has red bobbin thread showing on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa early World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 4-7/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered with silk/cotton thread.
