Description
This is an early Spanish Campaign ribbon bar in enameled brass. The award itself was instituted in 1905 for service in the Spanish American War, but this particular version was started in 191The original medal bore colors of the Spanish flag (red and gold) and at Spain's request the medal's colors were changed to blue and yellow. Both the Army and Navy (and Marine Corps) had their own version of the medal that accompanied this particular bar.

SIZE:Approximately 5/16" in height and 1-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass and enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
