This is a rare DI for the United States Army 64th Engineer Topographic Battalion from early in the World War II Occupation Period. The DI shows a curious scribe figure writing with a quill pen upon the globe.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II Occupation Period.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:The DI you receive will either be the one pictured or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months MBEX13 LHEX5/13 S(1)HEX5/15 S(2)HEX11/18
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI has very little wear.
