Description
This is an early manufacture United States Army Model 1902 officer's sword, made during World War I or even earlier. The sword comes with its original scabbard and has a maker mark for Harding Uniform & Regalia Company of Boston, Massachusetts. It has a classic cobra hood-like guard and is engraved "U.S." on one side of the blade.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1900s (World War I or earlier).
SIZE:Sword: approximately 35" in length and 5" in width; scabbard: approximately 31-1/4" in length and 1-5/8" in width; blade only: approximately 29-5/8" in length and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickeled steel, nickel-plated iron hilt and black composition grip.
ATTACHMENT:Rings on scabbard.
