Description
Early 70's United States Navy Heavy Attack Recon Squadron 1 RVAH-1 jacket patch. Nicknamed the "Smokin' Tigers", the center of the US-made patch features an image of a tiger smoking a cigar and blowing up a large mushroom cloud of smoke and along the bottom the patch reads: "RVAH-1". The Squadron was Redesignated RVAH-1 on September 1, 1964 and was engaged in a number of missions surrounding Vietnam, as well as several in the Mediterranean and west Pacific. The squadron was Disestablished January 19, 1979.
