ARTIFACT: This is a badge for the French helicopter carrier the "Resolution" (insigne pour porte-hélicoptère "La Resolue"). The name given to La Resolue was changed upon commissioning in 1964 to Joan of Arc (Jeanne d'Arc) or just "Jane". The badge is by Courtois of Paris and shows an enameled frigate (the original "Resolue") in full sail at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1961-1964.

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in height and in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: COURTOIS-PARIS.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge has some light abrasions to the enamel and spots of minor wear and tarnish.
