This is an early 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 21st Field Artillery Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows an eagle wearing a collar decorated with the Cross of Lorraine and a demi-sun atop an Aztec banner. These are separated by a red diagonal bend.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. N. Y. C. with raised maker mark.
