ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1950s French unit badge for the Secteur des Becs d'Ombrelles (S.D.B.O.) "Nung Confederation," or "Nung Community/Society." The Nung is a minority population in Vietnam, with ethnic roots in China. The badge is by Drago of Paris, and is enameled in bright yellow and red with a black junk at the top.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin, two round saddles.

MARKINGS: DRAGO PARIS (one reverse of badge and on each saddle).

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows little wear to the enamel.
