This is an early 1950s stewardess badge from Matson Airlines, formed in 1946 and once a part of Matson Steamship Lines. The badge is a winged anchor with an M at center set off by enamel in bold crimson and cobalt.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" height and 1-3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:SS.
