Early 1945 US Army "Nansei Shoto (Ryukyu Islands - Loochoo Islands): A Pocket Guide"

This is an early 1945 United States Army booklet entitled "Nansei Shoto (Ryukyu Islands Ð Loochoo Islands): A Pocket Guide" This book was given to servicemen taking part in the April 1, 1945 invasion of these Japanese islands. The book gives a brief cultural overview of the people inhabiting the islands. It has some black and white illustrations and a few one-color maps of the region.

Published early 1945.

39 pages; approximately 5-1/4" by 4-1/4".

Construction paper.

Stapled binding.
