ARTIFACT: This is a 1944 copy of the United States Army (War Department) / US Navy booklet entitled "A Pocket Guide to China". The book gives a brief overview of the culture of the Chinese people. It has some black and white and one-color illustrations, along a few pages of helpful words and phrases translated into English.

VINTAGE: Published 1944 (World War II).

SIZE: 64 pages with a few extra blank Notes pages; approximately 5-1/4" by 4-1/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: U.S GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE: 1942-O-566414.
