ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1940s United Airlines Flight Engineer Wing 2nd & 3rd issue.

It is very similar to the Pilot Wing of the same period, but the area of the wings are void instead of filled with bullion. 

VINTAGE: Circa early 1940s.

SIZE: About 3-3/8" in length by 1-1/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver bullion with a brass and enamel logo on wool felt.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with a come-under locking catch (please note: the locking part of the catch is absent).

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX9/98 LDEJX07/10 SLHGEX12/13/23

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): Very minor wear; some minor damage to enamel; catch is very slightly bent and locking part is absent.
