ARTIFACT: This is a cool circa early 1930s United States Marine Corps American Legion member hat from Post 29 in Glendale, Arizona. The hat has a patch and an embroidered insignia on one side and the number 29 on the opposite side. It is a size 7-1/4. The hat comes with its original shipping envelope to H. C. Ridgeway from the American Legion Headquarters. It has a three cent stamp still affixed to it.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1930s.

SIZE: Hat: 7-1/4 size tag (about " in length and " in height).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool, wool patch embroidered in cotton/silk threads, cotton lining, leather liner; paper.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: 7 _.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The hat is in excellent condition; envelope has some rips and aging.
