ARTIFACT: This is a classic Harley Davidson ashtray from the 1957 Gypsy Tour in Laconia, New Hampshire, the home of "Bike Week" since 1923. Gypsy Tours officially began in 1917 under the Federation of American Motorcyclists, and were fun outings where bikers would travel great distances toward a common rendezvous point. The American Motorcycle Association (AMA) took over the Gypsy Tours in 1925. The ashtray has a great pine tree detail on the rim.

VINTAGE: Circa 1957.

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in height and 4-1/4" in diameter (not including cigarette holders that just out 3/8" on either side).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted brass.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The ashtray has a few small areas of light to medium wear.
