ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1980s pilot hat badge for Egypt Air, initially founded as Misr Airwork in 1932. The bottom half of the badge is a wing bearing the head of Horus, an Egyptian sky god with a falcon's head, painted in red and blue. The top of the badge shows an eagle with an enameled crest upon its breast.

VINTAGE: Circa 1980s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 1-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel, painted areas.

ATTACHMENT: Two loops.

MARKINGS: None.
