This is a 1980 patch for the United States Navy nuclear submarine USS Groton SSN-69She was launched from her namesake port of Groton, Connecticut on August 3, 1973 and completed an around-the-world cruise to the Indian Ocean in 1980 and returned in the fall of that year via the Panama Canal. She was decommissioned in November 1997.
VINTAGE:Circa 1980.
SIZE:Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.
