Circa 1960s South African Airways (SAA) Captain Cap Badge

This is a 1960s captain hat badge for South African Airlines (SAA), founded in 193The badge has three gilt brass decorations: an enameled South African coat of arms reading EX UNITATE VIRES (Unity is strength), a winged springbok antelope and a wreath.

Circa 1960s.

Approximately 3-1/4" in height and 3" in width.

Wool felt, gilt brass, enamel, silk/cotton cloth backing with padding.
