This is a circa 1940 numbered Pan Am pilot cap badge in gold-filled sterling silver. The badge is double-wreathed in oak leaves and acorns and shows a view of the western hemisphere in blue enamel and gold.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940.
SIZE:1-5/16" height and 1-7/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing and two stabilization posts.
MARKINGS:0179 1/10 -10K.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Pin has very little wear and tarnish, mostly on reverse.
