Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1955-1956 jacket patch for the 324th United States Marine Air Attack Squadron (VMA-324) aka "Devil Dogs". The crest-shaped patch is embroidered on twill and shows the fore part of a vicious dog leaping across two crossed swords.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1955-1956.

SIZE:

Approximately 5-1/2" in height and 4-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads with mesh backing.
