ARTIFACT:

This is a jacket patch for the United States Navy VP-25 patrol squadron featuring PBYS (medium to heavy twin amphibious aircraft) with "BAT" missiles. The patch is on bright tangerine twill and shows a triumphant bat wit a propeller on his back astride a missile.
VINTAGE:Circa 1948-1950.
SIZE:Approximately 6-7/16" height and 4-15/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
