This is a circa 1930 United States Post Office cap badge from Montrose, California. The badge is oval in shape and is topped by an eagle with spread wings.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930.

SIZE:

2-1/16" height and 2-1/2" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel or brass-plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal one-piece safety pin.

MARKINGS:

"U.S. POST OFFICE MONTROSE, CALIF. / 5 " on front and "N.C. WALTER & SONS / NEW YORK" on reverse.
