ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1920 United States Post Office hat badge from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The badge is oval in shape and topped by an eagle with wings spread.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920.
SIZE:2" height and 2-1/2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops where hat pin would have been affixed.
MARKINGS:"U.S. POST OFFICE PORTSMOUTH, N.H / 6 " on front and "N.C. WALTER & SONS NEW YORK" on reverse.

CONDITION:6+ (FineÑVery Fine): This badge has moderate tarnish and some spots of discoloration but is in otherwise fine shape.
