Description
This is a fantastic typewriter ribbon tin from the 1920s advertising Edwards' Typewriter Exchange in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The tin is in a mustard color with lovely silver and red Art Deco leaves and scrollwork gracing both its front and reverse. The tin is for a black-red record medium inking ribbon for a Royal Portable typewriter. Edwards' guarantee that the ribbon will bring "perfect satisfaction" is stated on the bottom of the tin..

SIZE:Approximately 2-9/16" square and 7/8" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted tin.
ATTACHMENT:Lid and tin press together.
MARKINGS:ROYAL PORTABLE BLACK-RED RECORD MEDIUM INKING and 191 on front; MADE IN U.S.A and N70 on reverse.
