A medallion on the front of the mug shows the house of Thomas Bailey Aldrich, Portsmouth native and among other vocations, author of "The Story of a Bad Boy". The medallion on the reverse shows the Jackson House, New Hampshire's oldest wooden house, still standing today. The mug holds about 1/8 of a liter, or four ounces.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 4-3/16" in height and 2-1/2" in diameter (at base) and 3-1/4" in width (to edge of handle).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted ceramic.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: GERMANY on bottom and 1/8L near lip.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Portsmouth, New Hampshire collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VBEX4/97 LFJX4/11
