This is an early United States Post Office postal cap badge from San Diego, California. The badge is oval in shape and is topped by an eagle with spread wings.

Circa 1920s-1930s.

2" height and 2-"" width.

Nickel or nickel on brass.

Horizontal one-piece safety pin.

"U.S. POST OFFICE SAN DIEGO, CALIF. / 133 " on front and "N.C. WALTER & SONS / NEW YORK" on reverse.
