This is a squadron badge used late in the US Air Service period and in the early US Air Corps period by the 102nd Observation Squadron on the New York National Guard.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1920s.
SIZE:2 in length by about 7/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling Silver.
ATTACHMENT:Pin-back with an early drop-in catch.
MARKINGS:The Dieges & Clust logo and "Sterling".
ITEM NOTES:This beautiful badge is sought after by both DI collectors as a wonderful example of an early sterling DI and by collectors of Aero squadron badges, this being one of the last examples of them. (CON-JMB-VIEJX-06)(RABJJX07)
