This is a bronze automobile badge for the United States Army 27th Division Aviation, 102nd Observation Squadron. The badge reads 27TH DIV. AVIATION MILLER FIELD 102 STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:12-1/4" height and 6-3/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze, steel and aluminum.
ATTACHMENT:Two nut and bolt pairs on bracket.
MARKINGS:CGW(?) initials carved at top; maker's mark on bracket.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Badge has some scattered spots of wear and oxidation and has a handsome patina.
