ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1919-1921 United States Air Service Balloon School souvenir pillowcase wrapped in plastic and mounted on foam board. The case is square with a fringed border. It reads BROOKS FIELD in multi-colored embroidery and shows a balloon at center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1919-1921.

SIZE: Approximately 26" x 27" (framed).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk case embroidered in cotton/silk thread, cellophane, foam board.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This pillowcase is shrink-wrapped to a piece of foam board and will be shipped unwrapped and folded without the foam board unless arrangements are made for pick-up or special shipping to preserve the shrink wrap mounting. This is from a United States Air Service collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VACJX09 LFGEX9/10

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): Beautiful case with light wear and has been well-preserved.
