ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1898 badge from Camp Cuba Libre in Jacksonville, Florida. Home base for United States Army 7th Corps, Cuba Libre underwent some privations at the start. The badge has two bars at top with a medallion hanging beneath that reads HONOR TO OUR COUNTRY'S BRAVE encircling a barracks scene.

VINTAGE: Circa 1898.

SIZE: 2-3/4" height and 1-7/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with red, white and blue painted detail.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: C.M. ROBBINS, MAKER ATTLEBORO, MASS. U.S.A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCJX09 LIEX7/10 SHHX10/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): Insignia shows light tarnish and some small spots of wear.
