This is a police belt buckle from the 1890s. The buckle has an outer oak leaf-wreathed border and an inner rope-motif border encircling an embellished "POLICE".
VINTAGE:Circa 1890s.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in height and 3-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Buckle fastening and two rectangular loops (one loop came off but has been taped to the other).

CONDITION:6- (Fine): Buckle shows spots of moderate wear and tarnish with one slight dent and one loop is unattached but taped on.
