This is a World War I cap badge for the 127th (12th York Rangers) Battalion, a part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. The badge is shaped like a maple leaf with a crown at top and a lion's head at center. The badge reads 12th REGT YORK RANGERS CELER ET AUDAX CANADA OVERSEAS 127.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:1-7/8" in height and 1-13/16" wide.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Lacquered brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Badge shows light wear and oxidation and is very handsomely tarnished.
