This is a circa 1960 United States Navy Commander Carrier Division 3 lighter. This lighter was made by Vulcan of Japan and has a nice applied enamel insignia on one side and an enameled two-star admiral flag on the other. It has had very little use.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width and 1/2" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge.
MARKINGS:Vulcan PO Box 32525 Calif. Japan on bottom.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a 1960s USN aircraft carrier division lighter collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VBJX14 LAAEX5/14
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The lighter has had only light use.
