ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful old circa 1910s badge for the Exempt Firemen's Association of Yonkers, a New York city situated on the Hudson River. The badge was made by C.G. Braxmar Company of New York and is numbered 294 on the front. The badge has the standard fire equipment grouping at center, but its design is very intricate, with a sort of honeycomb or filigree background. A large garter encircles the central grouping, and bears the word Association upon it. This came to us along with a circa 1900 Yonkers Volunteer Fire Department Harry Howard Hose Co. No. 12 lapel badge (please see link at bottom of page for information).

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: 294 on front; C.G. Braxmar Co. 10 12 Maiden Lane N.Y. on reverse.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old New York fire badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEJX14 LDGEX6/14 SBGHX2/15

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The badge has only very light wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
