Description
This is a beautiful circa 1900s badge for the Newtown, Long Island (Queens), New York Exempt Firemen's Association. The badge has a lovely eagle against rays of sun at the top and firefighting equipment in relief at the center. It was made by C.G. Braxmar Co. of New York City and is numbered 287.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-7/8" in height and 1-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:287 on front; C.G. BRAXMAR CO. 10 MAIDEN LN. N.Y. on reverse.
