This is a circa 1902 Long Island City (Queens), New York Exempt Firemen's Sons Association badge. This is a very early example of the badge, as the Association was chartered in November of 190The badge is numbered 20 at the very bottom and shows a steam engine in relief at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1902.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 1-9/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with tongue-style catch.
MARKINGS:20 on front.
