This is a circa 1910s advertising letter opener for Shelby National Tube Company's seamless steel tubing. Shelby's was a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania manufacturer with a clever advertising angle: the hollow end of the letter opener is an example of their product.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 8-3/4" in length and 3/4" in width and 5/8" in diameter at the handle end.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Steel.
