ARTIFACT: This is an enameled graduation pin in 10 karat gold from Springfield Hospital Training School for Nurses in Massachusetts. The pin is circa 1900, a mere eight years after the school opened with six enrollees. The school closed in 1999.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/16" in height x 15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 10 karat gold, enamel. 5.4 gm, 3.5 dwt.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with Tiffany catch.

MARKINGS: 10K.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows some very light tarnish and all enamel is intact.
