This is a bullion United States Army Transportation Service officer hat badge with band. The badge is an eagle with a crest perched upon two crossed anchors.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 3-3/8" height and 10" width (as band is meant to be sewn).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Felt embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk threads with cotton backing; cotton elasticized band.
ATTACHMENT:Hat band (stitching has come undone so band is two straps rather than connected in a loop).
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge shows some areas of light tarnish only and hat band has come unsewn.
