Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an unidentified French-made, possibly Polish badge from World War I. The badge shows an eagle with its wings spread over two crossed rifles, and could be a silver-grade marksman badge, possibly for Polish units serving with the French.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass, brass pin.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

None.
