Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an unidentified sterling silver badge shaped like a Sphinx with a dragon's head instead of a human's. The badge could possibly be French in origin, and may be for a military group or squadron.

VINTAGE:

Circa unknown.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Diagonal pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS:

STERLING PEARCE.
