ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified pair of aviation-related service pins from circa 1943. Both pins have an insignia resembling a radar screen that may read TMCO. The smaller pin is in 10 karat gold and is for 25 years of service with the unidentified organization. The larger pin is in sterling silver and reads HDG VICTORY FLIGHT CLUB 1943.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: Larger pin: approximately 7/8" in height and 9/16" in width; smaller pin: ½" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Larger pin: sterling silver with enamel; smaller pin; 10 karat gold with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Larger pin: vertical come-under locking swivel catch; smaller pin: single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: STERLING on reverse of larger pin; 10K-B (or -R?) on smaller pin.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. LX1/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The small pin shows virtually no wear and the larger pin has areas of light to medium wear and a moderate tarnish; all enamel is intact.
