This is an unidentified badge for the Italian Air Force 6th Fighter Wing (Stormo Caccia). It is numbered 1587 on reverse. The badge is vibrantly enameled and shows a flying red devil or diablo against a field of black.
VINTAGE:Circa unknown.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with plunger-style catch.
MARKINGS:1587
