BEING RESEARCHED - Extra Rare WWI French Colonial Troops Officer Buckle? NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDed

This is an unidentified belt buckle, and might possibly be an extremely rare French Colonial Troops officer buckle from World War I. The buckle's outer ring is a leafy wreath and the inner circle shows an anchor at center.

Possibly circa World War I.

2-1/8" height and 3-9/16" width.

Possibly lacquered brass.

Interlocking belt buckle.
