BEING RESEARCHED - Enameled DW Badge, Possibly for School - NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDENTIFIED

This is an unidentified badge showing an interlocking capital D and W at center in red and blue enamel. The badge has a white background and a doily-like shape, and seems to have a collegiate design.

Circa unknown.

Approximately 1-7/16" in height and 1-7/16" in width.

Gold-plated brass with enameled areas.

Vertical pin with "C" catch.

Maker's mark and information has been scratched out and some words (possibly some Roman numerals and McNALLY) have been scratched in above.

This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. REV LX12/10

7 (Very Fine): The badge shows only light wear to the enamel but the reverse has been marred and there is one small spot of oxidation.

As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
