ARTIFACT:

This is an unidentified jacket patch that reads American Air Reserve Long Beach, presumably for the group's Squadron XI. At center is a seahorse in pilot garb. This patch came to us with an unidentified jacket patch, possibly for aviation patrol (please see link at bottom of page for more information).

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1930s-early World War II

SIZE:

Approximately 4-3/8" in height and 4-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.

None.

8 (Excellent-): The patch has little wear and some minor paper residue on the reverse.
