ARTIFACT: Beautifully enameled circa 1900 New York 2nd Regiment Expert Riflemen's Association pin by Braxmar. The center of the pin features a blue enamel disc that reads: "2ND REGT." and showing embossed letters on either side: "NY" and surrounding reads: "EXPERT RIFLEMENS ASSOCIATION". The 2nd Regiment was first activated during the War of 1812 and deactivated in 1821, the riflemen were instrumental in fighting the British in New York, the Regiment also helped to maintain fair and civil order of Native American trades.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900

SIZE: Approximately ¾" x ¾"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: Vertical 'T' pin with 'C' type catch.

MARKINGS: "C.G. BRAXMAR CO. N.Y."

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEX05 LFJX12/15

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The pin shows minor to moderate surface wear, nearly all the plating and enamel details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
